Exercise your Patience

Updated: Apr 8, 2020

The Climb

Patience is a key component to the formula of success. It is important to acknowledge if you want longevity in the pursuit you choose, the process will be gradual. I will reiterate this statement again, the process of success is gradual. Knowing this fact, should switch on a light bulb in your head and change your whole perception of the game you are playing. This mindset is pivotal for people that are starting something new. Restrain yourself, everyone goes through hardship and battles patience when they are starting a new thing. Patience. Patience. Patience. Play the long game, show up, put in the work and put in the hours every single day.

Self belief and Intent

Lack of self belief will kill you. Self belief will unlock the door of your true potential. When you are in the come up stage, this is when you flourish your seed of self belief and have strong faith in what you are doing. The universal law of cause and effect states that a seed sown in the garden of the mind shall reap the blossom thereof.

Focus your energy on the execution rather than focusing on when it will happen. In fact, embrace the process, meaning do not look for short cuts to get there faster. Often, taking short cuts leads to planning your own self sabotage and has repercussions. It is unfortunate how a lot of people give up too early because of their lack of patience and lack of awareness.

Battling Faith and Patience

The battle between faith and patience is a tricky but trust the process and it will eventually pop off on the other side in due time. The universe will give it to you when you are ready. Meanwhile, it is your job to exercise imagination until it is your reality. According to Napoleon Hill, thought backed by a strong desire and execution will transmute itself into its physical equivalent. Hoping is wishing and remaining dormant while faith is knowing and executing towards the pulsating desire.

Patience can be exercised in the micro too. For example, when you are stuck in traffic or in a long queue, instead of getting frustrated, use this time to exercise your patience. Another example would be to hold onto your trash until you can locate a trashcan.
